Chicago Pen Show 2024

The third pen show of the season was the Chicago Pen Show. And as has been the pattern, I was working with Kanilea Pen Company once again. This show had it’s ups and downs, for sure, but was our best show so far.

The highlight for us was the newly released Kanilea Blue Moana with the newly designed Mou Loa band, Absolutely stunning! My pictures didn’t do this pen justice, so click the link - you won’t be disappointed!

Close second highlight was Brad’s staff, Kimberly and Sarah, getting everyone to pose with Brad’s “face on a stick”, since he was absent from the show. Go see their posts here and here for all the shenanigans on this! Classic Pen Addict fun.

One detractor from the show this year was the hotel. It’s clear the hotel is in need of the postponed remodel, as the place looked to be falling apart. Not structurally, mind you, but carpets were stained, cloth napkins were thread-bare, and mismatched, and most importantly, the staff attitude clearly had “given up” on making the customer experience a good one. Sad, really, but rumor has it the show will be moving to a different hotel next year. Fingers crossed.
