Annapolis
I recently took a couple days to road trip to Maryland’s Eastern Shore for a little R&R away from all the works and life stresses. I know my July through September are always packed, so this will likely be my last opportunity to get away for quite some time.
On my way to the other side of the Bay, I made a stop in Annapolis, mostly to let the traffic across the Bay Bridge clear out from rush hour backups. I stopped at a few shops I had been wanting to check out in person. I didn’t spend much, but I was able to see a few things first-hand for future purchases, and simply enjoyed window shopping in a city I don’t get to very often, even though it’s not that far away.
And you can’t stop in Annapolis without getting something to eat! I parked at the City Docks parking lot, took a quick stroll around “Ego Alley”, and then walked to Pusser’s Caribbean Grille. I was seated on the deck overlooking Ego Alley, and enjoyed watching the small armada from Annapolis Sailing School as they had evening sailing practice. Drinks, apps, and dinner were spectacular, as expected.
I had a little time left on my parking meter, so I enjoyed a longer stroll around City Docks, admiring the beautiful boats moored up there. But soon enough, it was time to get back in the car and head across the Bay. Check back next week for more…
And remember to always Spin the Compass.
