Who is Jason?
I am a self-proclaimed jack-of-all-trades, and certainly not a master of any! I am an unlicensed architect by day, a paramedic/firefighter by night, and a natural wanderer any time I can find a spare minute. When my nose is not in a book or a magazine, I am often found hiding behind a camera, or sitting at the back of the crowd observing the drama of the world unfold in front of me. I find great pleasure in learning new skills, or collecting hobbies as my friends call it. However it is defined, I enjoy it!
This blog will follow me as I plan, prepare for, and hopefully complete, a 2015 Thru Hike of the Appalachian Trail. I hope to get out at least once a month for a weekend of testing my gear, along with multiple “quick trips” throughout the week to help get my knee back in shape. I have some gear to refurbish and some gear to replace. All of this will be splayed out here for you to laugh at… err, read. Hope you enjoy!
